The Chinese Finance Association (TCFA) successfully hosted a Senior Networking event at the Fordham University on July 21, 2016. About 100 TCFA core members and friends of TCFA, including Managing Directors, Portfolio Managers and Partners attended the event, joined by 26 senior Chinese executives from the Doctor of Professional Studies in Business Program, which is a collaboration between the co-organizers of the event, Fordham University’s Gabelli School of Business and Peking University’s National School of Development.
Ms. Meifang Zhang, Deputy Consul General of the Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China in New York, delivered an inspiring welcome speech, during which she recognized the contribution of TCFA in facilitating the exchange of ideas, information, and talents in the area of finance between the U.S. and China.
Gabelli School of Business Finance Professor Yan An, Associate Dean of Research and Faculty Development at Fordham University, welcomed the group of executives from China and affirmed the corporation between TCFA and Fordham University. Ms. Fan Xing, President of TCFA and Managing Director at Bank of America Merrill Lynch echoes the sentiment and thanked the friends of TCFA for their long-term support.
Mr. Chenyang Wei, Director and Head of Credit Research of AIG, Board Member and former President of TCFA, moderated a panel discussion featuring three leading experts in the field of law, economics, and venture capital investment. Mr. Alex Hao, Resident Partner at JunHe in New York, provides advice to Chinese enterprises on how to overcome business, regulatory and cultural barriers while expanding overseas. Mr. Hendrick Lee, Co-founder and Managing Partner at Palm Drive Ventures, discussed venture capital investment opportunities in the U.S. Mr. Henry Mo, Managing Director and Deputy Chief Economist of AIG shared his views on the global economic outlook and presented a cautiously optimistic five-year outlook for the U.S. economy.
