Guang Yang, Director of Board of TCFA. With over 15 years of working experience in major international financial centers: New York, London, Hong Kong and Shanghai, Guang has been holding management roles in several financial institutions, such as leading the cross boarder business of Templeton Capital as Partner and GJ Financial as EVP, managing the portfolio of Asian companies listed in US and Europe for Citigroup, leading the European Central Bank's secondary market project across 14 countries, etc. Before EU, he was helping global head to oversee Citi's 53 proprietary markets around the world. He also worked in JPMorgan's Division of International Banking and BNY Mellon's Developing Market Department in New York. Guang started his career at Boston Consulting Group (BCG) as one of its first few analysts recruited in Asia, and then joined HSBC, working in Hong Kong as a manager in Investment and Corporate Banking. He is the co-author of a World Bank White Paper, and has been interviewed by Bloomberg, Wall Street Journal, People's Daily, CCTV, China Daily, and other media for comments on financial markets.
Besides being a financial professional, Guang is a TV personality who used to host the first bilingual Music TV show in China, and various international events and forums in US, Europe and Asia. Guang joined TCFA in 2006/7 and is currently the Chief PR Officer in charge of media relations and other public affairs. He also helped lead TCFA's career advisory programs for junior professionals and students. He received his master degree from Columbia University and bachelor degree from Fudan University. He is currently the President of Fudan Alumni Association of USA, an Adjunct Professor of Fudan University, and an Adjunct Lecturer of Columbia University.
Li Liu is one of TCFA NY Chapter leads, and Executive Director and head of Market Risk Capital in the risk management department of Morgan Stanley, responsible for market risk capital and securitization capital. His team’s responsibilities include calculating Basel 3 capital, FRTB program, and projecting RWAs for CCAR. Previously Li was a director and head of US Derivatives Counter Party Exposure Management team at Barclays from 2009 to 2015. He provided real time sizing of margins and exposures for structured derivatives and financing transactions, performed stress testing counter party portfolios, and participated in Basel 3 rollout.
Until September 2009 he was a Managing Director and portfolio manager at Babson Capital Management LLC, a fixed income asset management firm with $110 billion under management. Since joining Babson in May 2005, Li introduced $1.0 to $1.4 billion non-mortgage ABS investments including both consumer and commercial asset backed securities to several Babson managed accounts, resulting in far superior and uncorrelated returns from other structured products.
Prior to Babson, Li worked as originator and underwriter in asset backed finance at Radian Asset Assurance Inc for 3 years. Prior to Radian, Li worked as desk quant and trader in foreign exchange and money market at Deutsche Bank and Bank of America. Li holds a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Chicago, and a B.S. from Peking University.
David Zhang is currently a Managing Director and head of Securitization Research at MSCI. His group
is responsible for securitized products research, modeling, and analytics that support MSCI’s clients in
investment, risk and portfolio management, regulatory requirement, and indices. MSCI’s 7000 clients
across 85 countries include pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, mutual funds, hedge funds, wealth
management firms, banks and insurance companies. We serve the 99 of the 100 largest financial firms.
Before joining MSCI, David worked at Credit Suisse investment bank for 12 years, as a Managing
Director and head of Securitized Products Quantitative Research. His group was responsible for
securitized products modeling and analytics for trading strategies, capital and risk analysis, regulatory
requirement, and client analytics. His group has been consistently top ranked by various industry and
client surveys, including Institutional Investor All American Research team, and Greenwich Associate
Survey. The mortgage models on the online platform Locus were one of the most used analytics system
in the industry.
David worked in Freddie Mac, CIBC Oppenheimer, and University of Chicago after his PhD from
Princeton. He serves as director for PRMIA (Professional Risk Management International Association)
NY chapter, as well as for GCREC (Global Chinese Real Estate Congress). He has published widely in
academic and industry journals.
Richard Wang is Board of Director TCFA since 2017. Currently, He is a senior analyst in Investment and Capital Market department at Freddie Mac. He also serve as a director at DYNC Atlantic Property and Investment, an assets management and private equity firm based in Washington DC. Before that, he worked as a consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) and managed fixed income securities securitization and financial derivatives evaluation for various clients in banking and capital market. He holds a master’s degree of business administration in Finance from R.H Smith School of Business at University of Maryland, College Park.
Richard actively demonstrates leadership in communities as well. He is a Co-founder for 21st Century Multicultural Education Young Leader program a.k.a. BranchOut! to promote STEM education for underprivileged students in Maryland, Washington DC, and Virginia. Richard also serves as Committee member of Minority Student Achievement Oversight Committee (MSAOC) of Fairfax Country Public School (FCPS) in Northern Virginia area.
Christine Y Zhao is a Managing Partner of Yuanming Capital, a VCPE fund focused on cross-border investment and acquisition opportunities between US and China. Previously she was the Group Chief Financial Officer of Best Logistics Technologies, a pre-IPO internet-age infrastructure company with valuation over $3bn and major investors including Alibaba, Goldman, Walden, IDG, Softbank, IFC, China Everbrite and Citics PE. Prior to this, she was a Managing Director in Bank of America Merrill Lynch and an Executive Director in JPMorgan, where she held senior positions in HQ and global corporate and investment banking units (including regional CFO/COO). She also worked at American Express in New York, London, Singapore in various capacities including strategy and corporate venture investing, in investment banking at Goldman Sachs in Hong Kong, and in corporate development at FedEx Corporation in U.S. She has managed teams across four continents.
A Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Christine holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a B.S. in Economics with distinction from Fudan University in Shanghai, China. She is also a Board member of the Chinese Finance Association (TCFA), a non-profit organization with over 6,000 members worldwide. Christine is fluent in both Mandarin and Cantonese.

Yalin is senior associate at China Renaissance New York office. She is responsible for relationships development with US institutions and advising on investments in Chinese private and public companies. She is also advising Chinese companies to planning for US capital markets involvement.
Prior to China Renaissance, Yalin was an Equity Research Sales at CITIC Securities in New York. She was responsible for managing relationships with institutional investors, establishing new relationships with buy side funds, and identifying suitable opportunities for cross-selling, upgrades and other revenue opportunities. She also organized research analyst and corporate roadshows in the U.S.
Yalin is currently a Director on the TCFA board. Yalin holds a Master Degree in International Finance and Economic Policy from Columbia University; and a Master Degree from ISA Lille, a top ranked Grande Ecole d'ingenieur school in France. She also holds a Bachelor Degree in Biotechnology from Tongji University.
